Mantra Yoga

Japa Yoga

The Great Synthesis of Mantras

Mantras or mantrams are sacred sounds, syllables, words, phrases, and the names of God that we can repeat to uplift our consciousness and to find union with God. We can repeat them silently, out loud, or chant them.

Mantra yoga or japa yoga is the repetition of mantras to achieve union with God. The word yoga comes from the root word "yoke" or "to yoke", that is, to join together, or to find union with. So the purpose of all yoga is to find union with God, and the repeating these mantras, prayers, and affirmations can help us do that.

What About Mantras in English

The dialogue came up because someone said to her (Elizabeth Clare Prophet) - in regard to mantras - that what was unusual about (some of the) mantras (in the Summit Lighthouse) is that they were in English. And aren't most people used to hearing mantras in Sanskrit? she asked Elizabeth Clare Prophet

Elizabeth Clare Prophet's reply: "The ascended masters who have come forward to give the teaching of God in this age have explained that it is important that people understand the meaning of the mantra. English is a peculiar language. It has gone through many histories.

English comes down through the ancient tongues of Atlantis and has a particular vibration and an affinity, believe it or not, to a certain angelic tongue. And therefore there is a special energy for this age that actually comes through the English language. I think this is the real reason for English traveling around the world through the discoveries and explorations of the British Empire. The name of God, I AM THAT I AM, has a vibration and a frequency in English that it does not have in any other Western language.

I recently read a study that indicated that Gaelic and Irish are similar to Hebrew and that the Hebrew patterns were actually transferred by the tribes of Israel as they dispersed throughout the earth. Prior to the Hebrew tongue, there were the tongues that were spoken on Atlantis, and prior to that the languages that were spoken by the early root races on Lemuria. Sanskrit comes down from the early Lemurian tongue."

There are three main ways to do mantras, and they are:
1. silently, or within our mind or heart,
2. orally or in a spoken voice, and
3. by chanting or singing them.

It is important to remember that mantras do the most good, that is, they are the most effective when they are done with love and devotion, that is, with the love or fire of the heart.

The following is part of a prayer from the Hearts Center, and is a beautiful teaching that we may meditate on:

Release the culture of the Mother unto all on earth,
A renaissance of art and beauty come to give new birth.
Music of eternal worlds and chakras spinning ’round,
Rhythm, dance and holy mantra merge in sacred sound.

Sound is one of the greatest powers there is; especially the repetition of the mantra in the spoken word or sound. Sound has been used in both the creation of worlds and the destruction of continents, such as Atlantis. So let us use the sound of mantras -- the chanting of mantras -- to create a "new world," and help to bring in a New Age -- a Golden Crystal Age of Victory.

Mantras of the Universal Word -- The Universal Sound

Aum (A is for Alpha or Father, U is for You or Us, M is for Mother or Omega)
(Father, Son/Daughter, Mother)

Thus there are cycles in nature, cycles keyed in the very nucleus of every atom of Matter, whereby the sound of the AUM is sounded from heart center to heart center, from star to star and sun to sun, and from the white fire core of every element of earth. This sounding of the AUM of God's harmony is like the vibrating of God's tuning fork calling Home the atoms of his blessed substance.
(A Teaching from the Summit Lighthouse)

Om (Omega, Mother)

Note: It is good that a home be centered in the Om and in the consciousness of Omega, the Mother God. It is good to chant the word or mantra "home". Chanting the "Om" and "Home" and "Omega" helps us to come home to the "Om" of Omega, our Mother God.

Now we know the inner meaning of "home".

Chanting the Om and the "Home" helps us in our Homecoming. And in the word, "Homecoming," we can see two "om's".

Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti
Note: Shanti means peace.

A Story of the "Om Bound" Man with the "Om Bound" License Plate will be given later.

Alpha (Our Father God)

Omega (Our Mother God)

Alpha to Omega

Alma (Al is for Alpha or Father, and "ma" is for Mother or Omega)

Ra or Ram or RaRa (Ra or Ram means or implies Father, King, Lord, Prince, Masculine, etc.)

Ra I AM or Ram I Am

Om Ram, Om Ram, Om Ram, Om
Ram I AM, Ram I AM, Ram I Am,

Ma or Mam or MaMa (means or implies Mother, Queen, Lady, Princess, Feminine, etc.)

Chanting the "Ma" or "MaMa" is the universal mantra for devotion to the Mother, and is also the universal call for the Mother's Presence or help.

The term "Guru Ma" means that the Teacher (Guru) is devoted to the Divine Mother (Ma) of us all and to the teaching of her sons who, throughout the ages, East and West, have exemplified the soul's integration with God through the universal Light, manifest as the incarnate Word. Through the messenger's devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to the feminine principle in every soul, she was given the mantle of bearing the Mother flame. Concerning the path of the Mother, Lanello has explained that "when you say Ma, it is the acknowledgment that in the one Guru Mother [God as Mother, the Omega Light of Cosmos] the entire chain of Gurus is manifest. Whether Mother or Maitreya, it is the Ma of a cosmos that rings....That sounding of the name is the sounding of the cry for help. And all of the four cosmic forces who bow before her throne of grace will respond upon the call of the chelas near and far." Lanello, April 8, 1979.""

(The teachings above that are in quotes are from a Pearls of Wisdom by the Summit Lighthouse.)

Affirmations of the Cosmic Mother Flow:
As above, so below, I AM that Cosmic Mother Flow.
So below, as above, I AM that Cosmic Mother Love.
I AM flowing, growing, and glowing in Her Love.

Guru Ma

(Ra means or implies masculine, Father, Lord, King, or Prince; Ma means or implies feminine, Mother, Lady, Queen, or Princess. It is the synthesis or union of masculine and feminine -- an androgynous mantra or in the consciousness of twin flames in love. And the same is true for the mantra below, RaMu

RaMu (Ramu was the King or Lord of Lemuria)

Lemura or Lemuria

(Note: This is a mantra that was chanted by the priests and priestesses of Lemuria, and it is good that we chant it today. Lemuria was an ancient continent in the Pacific Ocean.

Note: I AM means "God in me is" or "the Presence of God in me is" or "My real Self is".

(The name of God from the Bible, the Old Testament)

And so we declare:
God is real here! There is only light and no darkness where we stand.
Where I AM, I AM THAT I AM! So be it. Amen.
(from the Hearts Center)

We are one.

I AM THAT I AM, Om, We are one.

I and my Father are One, I and my Mother are One.

Who is Mother Mary?

Four New Prayers or Mantras to Mother Mary

Mother Mary made her ascension or assumption. She is the Ascended Lady Master Mother Mary. She is also the twin flame of Archangel Raphael, that is, she is an archeia. She has been given titles such as the Queen of Heaven, Queen of Angels, Our Lady of the Immaculate Heart, Our Lady of Cosmic Abundance, etc. She is also known as Saint Mary. She has appeared in many places on earth, and is well known for her appearances at Fatima and Lourdes. She has appeared to many individuals and may appear to us and work with us.

Her primary ray is the green ray of healing, truth, science, music, and abundance.

Mantras to Kuan Yin, Goddess of Mercy:

Kuan Yin (Have mercy on us) (3X)
Kuan Shih Yin Pusa

Om Mani Padme Hum

Devotees of Kuan Yin invoke the bodhisattva's power and merciful intercession with the mantra OM MANI PADME HUM, which means "Hail to the jewel in the lotus!" or, as it has also been interpreted, "Hail to Avalokitesvara (or Kuan Yin), who is the jewel in the heart of the lotus of the devotee's heart!" (from the Summit Lighthouse)

Om Mani Peme Hum

In the immaculate heart of Kuan Yin, I trust.

Father, forgive them for they know not what the do.
(This can be a mantra for you.)(Whenever you see something that you believe is not right.)

Kuan Yin reminds us of Jesus’ words expressed in “his hour of anguish” on the cross, that are a magnificent example of compassion and mercy and forgiveness; and she suggests they become our personal mantra “whenever [we] observe something that seems out of place, unjust or not according to the principles that [we] follow in [our] life.” Kuan Yin asks, “If the Lord could do this, can you not forgive those who trespass against you, who in any way seem to ignite or incite the fire of reaction within you.”

Kuan Yin from The Hearts Center

Hail, Kuan Yin, full of mercy,
the Mother Light is with thee.
Blessed art thou among Buddhas
and blessed is the mercy that flows through thee.

Mother Mantra:

Mother, we share your burden;
Mother, our burden is light!

Mantras for the Celebration
of the Buddha and the Mother

by Elizabeth Clare Prophet (Guru Ma)

In order to greet the Buddha who resides in the secret chamber of the heart, whose chakra is the thousand-petaled lotus of the crown, we desire to raise the sacred fire of the Divine Mother (the Kundalini) from the base chakra of the Mother to the crown chakra of the Buddha.

And so it is the Divine Mother within us, and our souls' oneness with the Divine Mother in adoration of the Buddha, that causes the light to rise from the base. The Mother is in love with Buddha. The Buddha is in love with Mother. And the Lord Buddha (Yang) draws our Mother to that crown. And our Mother (Yin) is rising to greet her Lord. This is the plus/minus polarity of Alpha and Omega that we would experience in our body temple.

This is the purpose of our giving these Buddhist mantras. It is an exercise in the science of the spoken Word-that Word who in the beginning was with Brahman: without whom "was not anything made that was made."

I would ask you to center your attention in your heart and to realize that it is the flame of your heart that allows you to participate in the ritual of the union of the Father-Mother God in your chakras. Once the Mother reaches the crown chakra she, escorted by her Lord, descends to the secret chamber of the heart where they give birth to the Inner Buddha.

I AM the Light of the Heart by Saint Germain

Vol. 30 No. 6 - Beloved Saint Germain - February 8, 1987

"Beloved ones, I do understand the burden of your heart. Thus, I have given to you the mantra "I AM the Light of the Heart." Oh, enter into the deepest mysteries of God and recognize that they are all contained in your heart, in the cells and atoms. The laws are written there. A whole cosmos is inside of you!"

Vol. 29 No. 25 - The Beloved Messenger - June 10, 1986

"Neglect not, then, your heart as the altar of God. Neglect it not as the sun of your manifest being. Draw from God the power of Love and amplify it within your heart. Then send it out into the world at large as the bulwark of that which shall overcome the darkness of the planet, saying:

I AM the Light of the heart
Shining in the darkness of being
And changing all into the golden treasury
Of the Mind of Christ.
I AM projecting my Love
Out into the world
To erase all errors
And to break down all barriers.
I AM the power of infinite Love,
Amplifying Itself
Until It is victorious,
World without end!

"With this gift of infinite freedom from God's own heart this Valentine season, I close this epistle with a never-ending promise to assist you to find your immortal freedom as you determine never to give up and never to turn back. Remember that as long as you face the Light, the shadows are always behind. And the Light is there, too, to transmute them all."

Gayatri Mantra

English Translation:
You who are the source of all power,
Whose rays illuminate the world,
Illuminate also my heart and my mind
So that they too can do your work!

Gayatri Mantra:

The Gayatri mantra is one of the oldest and most powerful of Sanskrit mantras. It is believed that by chanting the Gayatri mantra and firmly establishing it in the mind, if you carry on your life and do the work that is ordained for you, your life will be full of happiness.
The word "Gayatri" itself explains the reason for the existence of this mantra. It has its origin in the Sanskrit phrase Gayantam Triyate iti, and refers to that mantra which rescues the chanter from all adverse situations that may lead to mortality. The Gayatri Mantra inspires wisdom. Its meaning is that "May the Almighty God illuminate our intellect to lead us along the righteous path".

Other Translations of the Mantra:

1. Oh God! Thou art the Giver of Life,
Remover of pain and sorrow,
The Bestower of happiness,
Oh! Creator of the Universe,
May we receive thy supreme sin-destroying light,
May Thou guide our intellect in the right direction.

2. We contemplate the glory of Light illuminating the three worlds:
gross, subtle, and causal.
I am that vivifying power, love, radiant illumination, and divine grace of universal intelligence.
We pray for the divine light to illumine our minds.

3. "O thou existence Absolute, Creator of the three dimensions, we contemplate upon thy divine light. May He stimulate our intellect and bestow upon us true knowledge."

The mantras above are generally ancient mantras, but some are modern-day mantras or affirmations from the Summit Lighthouse, New Wisdom University, the Hearts Center, etc.<

United States of America (U.S.A.)

A Sacred and Sponsored Nation of Light and Love

A Home of the 'I AM' Race
If we rearrange the letters of America -- we can get "I am race".

A Nation of the Four Sacred Freedoms --
Freedom of Press, Freedom of Speech, Freedom to Assemble or Gather Together, and Freedom of Religion.

Note: At times the leaders and the people of America have done things that are not right, as the leaders and peoples of all nations have done, so I ask forgiveness for anything that the leaders or peoples of America have done that has not been right, but, in general, America is and has been a Great Land of Freedom and Love to the Earth, and I am grateful for such a God-Given Land. And, I might add that every nation should be a "God-Given Land," and all nations should form a "Family of Nations" or S.U.N., a Spiritual United Nations, under the One God -- called by many names. And all people should form "One Family of God" under Heaven. And I hope and pray that we can all say: "In God: We Trust!"

I AM the Victory of Love, and I AM the Love of Victory!

As above, I AM that Magic Presence of Love,
So below, I AM that Magic Love everywhere I go,

And as I AM that Magic Love everywhere I go,
I will reap that Magic Love that I sow.
