Video Flow

How to Improve the Playing of "YouTube" Videos

How to Prevent Them from Starting and Stopping

It is important to understand that if the speed of our internet connection is fast enough, generally videos will play fine. If it is not fast enough, they will generally not, they will generally start and stop, unless the video is "loaded" to some extent first.

For most "YouTube" videos, and for many similar Internet videos, there is a "track" at the bottom of the screen with a "play bar" that is usually black or a darker color, and there is in the same track, a "loading bar" that is usually grey or a lighter color. The main thing to understand is that the loading bar must proceed or go before the play bar, otherwise the video will stop until it loads a little more, and then it will start again.

Once we click on the link to the video, it should start playing. If the video stops shortly thereafter, the way to get the loading bar to go ahead of the play bar is to press the "pause button or icon" with two double bars like this (||), and then wait about 1 to 5 minutes until you see the "loading bar" is about one to three inches to the right of the "play bar", or about half way across the screen. Then press the "play or start button" again, and hopefully the video will play until the end without stopping. If the video does stop again, press the "pause button or icon" again, and then wait until the video loads more, and then press the play button. Also, sometimes it helps to click on the "circle icon" at the end of the play bar to get the video going again, or click on the "play icon", then the "circle icon". Sometimes it takes a little trial and error, to have trial and success. Or sometimes, it is best to quit the video, go on to another video, and then come back to the first video.
Also, what may be helpful is to have only the video tab open at the top of the screen, and to make sure all other tabs are closed.

Also on the bar at the bottom of the screen there may be a "360" setting. If the picture and the audio are not synchronized together, you may try clicking on the Pause Button first, then "360" and changing it to "240", and hopefully that will correct things, and have the voice and the video synchronized. It may take about 10 to 30 seconds for the video to start playing, and if not, press the play icon and/or the circle button icon, and then hopefully the video will start playing.

Also, sometimes the "track" fades out or disappears at the bottom of the video screen, If this happens, you may move the mouse pointer to the bottom of the screen, and then it will usually appear again.

Also, it is important to understand that there are usually three different volume controls: one on the video player itself, one on the computer for which there is usually an icon at the bottom right of the screen, and there is usually a volume control right on the speakers. If there is not enough volume one or more of these controls need to be increased.

Another thing that may help to play the videos, or play them better, or to prevent them from starting and stopping, is to download the Adobe flash player.
You may download the Adobe Flash Player by clicking here.

Note: The Google Chrome browser already includes Adobe® Flash® Player built-in. Google Chrome will automatically update when new versions of Flash Player are available.
